Chase Campbell, a second-year veterinary student at Washington State University, is interested in feline and avian animal medicine. Originally from Arkansas, it was not until taking a comparative animal behavior course at Hendrix College that Chase knew he wanted to work with animals. Although he originally pursued a degree in Psychology and German, he really fell in love with biology. Before applying to WSU, Chase worked at a clinic for four years to see if veterinary medicine was the right fit for him. As a WSU veterinary student, he volunteers at the Wenatchee Humane Society socializing cats. During the school year, he was president of the Feline Club and treasurer of the Radiology Club. Chase was also the recipient of the Monica Kremer Scholarship in 2019 and the Thayer Family Scholarship for Feline Medicine in 2020. After graduation, Chase plans to work in general practice or emergency medicine getting diverse experience before applying to residency programs or working at a feline only practice. Chase adores his two polar bears (Great Pyrenees) Sheldon and Luna, and his dilute calico, Jade.
